Our Team

Our team of professionally qualified librarians brings specialized expertise to meet your needs.

The Classification Librarian assists with information literacy queries, helping you navigate and make the most of our collections while providing reference assistance and academic support. The Periodicals Librarian is an expert in journals and periodicals, ensuring you have access to up-to-date information to support your research. The Circulation Librarian handles enquiries related to borrowing, returns, and navigating the library, while also offering guidance on research strategies.

Services

Faith Resources

The library provides extensive Christian literature, including Bibles and the writings of Ellen White. We are also home to the Ellen G. White Seventh-day Adventist Research Centre, established in February 1983. The Centre preserves a wealth of historical and church-related research material, offering valuable resources for students, scholars, and the wider faith community.

Course Materials

Our collections are organized by course to help students quickly access textbooks, manuals, and other essential materials. Through the Academic Search Elite database on EBSCOhost and other databases, students can explore information across nearly every area of study, ensuring they have the tools for academic success.

Study Spaces

PW Library provides comfortable, quiet areas ideal for focused studying and academic work. For collaborative needs, a fully equipped boardroom is available for meetings, discussions, and presentations, making the library a versatile space for both individual learning and group engagement.

The Adventist Digital Library is the essential online repository, preserving and offering unfettered access to a vast, growing collection of historical resources that chronicle nearly two centuries of the Seventh-day Adventist movement and its global impact.

DOAJ is the definitive, community-driven index of high-quality, peer-reviewed open access journals globally. It ensures quality, free-to-read scholarly content is accessible to everyone, advancing the future of open research.

The Encyclopedia of Seventh-day Adventists (ESDA) is the official, comprehensive digital authority chronicling the rich history, key people, and global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist World Church.

EBSCO is the leading global provider that accelerates knowledge by offering comprehensive and authoritative research databases, e-books, and evidence-based clinical decision resources for universities, hospitals, and corporations worldwide.

This multidisciplinary database helps students find full-text articles from scholarly journals, trade publications, and magazines across numerous subjects. The database is designed specifically to assist in academic research.

The database is currently only available when accessed from the HCHE campus network.

This is a multidisciplinary ebook subscription designed for academic libraries. The database is currently available when accessed from the HCHE campus network. However, users must create personal accounts to download eBooks for offline reading and online note taking.
