Helderberg College of Higher Education (HCHE) will be hosting a Market Day on 06 October 2024 from 10am-2pm. Various activities will take place, including the sale of goods & services. 

Individuals, businesses and church groups are invited to set up stalls on the day to sell their goods and/or services. Those who are interested are required to complete the application form below in as much detail as possible. On the day, electricity will be provided to those who have indicated the need and paid for it. This will be the only service provided i.e. all other items (e.g. stall stand, chairs, etc.) required for the setup of the stall must be provided by stall owners. A non-registration fee (see below) will be charged.

Closing date for applications: 5pm, 2 October 2024

Application process (i.e. before HCHE Market Day):
Step 1: Complete the online application form below. You will be notified within 7 days of submitting your application.
Step 2: If your application is accepted, we will let you know that you can pay the R100 registration. If you are using electricity, include the R50 fee as well (please refer to banking details below). If you don’t have a table, and you wish to hire one, please include an additional R50. Email proof of payment to marketday@hche.ac.za. The email must state the name, surname and contact number as per the application form.
Step 3: Applicant receives feedback their registration fee was received and processed.
Step 4: A trading permit will be issued via email to the successful applicant, provided all outstanding amounts have been paid.
Step 5: At a later time, a map will be sent to you with the location of the Market Day stalls. A map of the stalls will also be available at the registration table on the day.

Note: If the day is hot, it is recommended that you bring your own gazebo or some kind of covering for your stall. There is shade in some parts of the stall location, but not all. It is also recommended to have a card machine, such as Yoko device for card payments. You can use cash, but this may not be used by many customers.

Registration fee per stall:
R100
An optional, additional cost for a table (1m x 1.5m, if you do not have your own): R50
An optional, additional cost for electricity usage: R50

The process on HCHE Market Day:
Step 1: Stall Owner must start setting up at 09:00am so that the stall is ready by 10:00am.
Step 2: Stall Owner to present trading permit at registration table located at the bottom of the
steps outside the Admin building.
Step 3: Stall Owner will be directed to the location where the stall must be set up.
Step 4: Stall Owner must remove all stall items from the campus premises once the HCHE Market Day has concluded.  Please keep our campus clean by removing your rubbish or throwing it into the bins provided.

Reminder: HCHE will only provide electricity and the table, if you choose to rent. If not rented, all items (stall stand, chairs, etc.) must be provided by stall owners.
