NEW STUDENTS
ONLINE REGISTRATION
PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW
(These steps below are only for new students who have already been accepted to study at Helderberg College. If you have not been accepted, please apply online or email apply@hche.ac.za
STEP 01
If you have not activated your Student Manager (SMP) account yet, please check “Your HCHE Registration has Started” email for the Activation Link. This will give you access to SMP.
If you have already activated your SMP account, then sign in with the link below.
Sign in to Student Manager (SMP)
STEP 02
Select the Registrations menu in the Student Manager (SMP).
Click on Register for modules.
You will first update some personal details, and the next page will allow you to check your modules that have already been selected on the Payment Details page
STEP 03
Students must download the financial contract forms and sign them. During registration, you will upload your proof of payment for the initial down payment, and include the financial contract forms as well.

STEP 04
The modules and cost on the SMP payment page is the total tuition fee for the first semester 2025. In order to register for your chosen programme there is an initial payment.
There are three payment options:
PAYMENT OPTION 1
Degree: R5000
Higher Certificate: R3000
Foundation Year: R3000
This payment will secure your place as a registered student for the 2025 intake. Option 1 will require a debit order which our Finance Department will contact you about once you submit your proof of payment for the initial payment.
Accommodation for option 1: If you are also planning to stay in the ladies or men’s residence, then please add R5275 to the initial down payment amount above.
PAYMENT OPTION 2
Degree down payment: R15 000
Higher Certificate down payment: Pay 50% of the total tuition fee
Foundation Year down payment: Pay 50% of the total tuition fee
Accommodation for option 2: If you are also planning to stay in the ladies or men’s residence, then please add R24 350 to the option 2 down payment amount.
PAYMENT OPTION 3
Pay the full tuition fee. A 5% discount is provided with option 3 after payment has been made. The 5% is credited to your account.
All International (non-South African) students must pay 100% of their tuition & boarding fees in order to register. International students in their second year or higher need only pay 50% during registration.

The Finance Office will check your proof of payment. (If you are unable to upload a proof of payment, please contact the our Finance Office: finadmin@hche.ac.za)
STEP 05
You are done!
Once you submit your proof of payment and any other forms, you must now wait for final approval. This can take up to 72 hours (3 working days).
You have not finished registration. Once your registration is finalised, you will receive an email with the subject “You have been Registered at HCHE!”
IMPORTANT
• After your registration is complete, you will receive your HCHE email account and access to Microsoft Office 365. This information will follow within 72 hours.
• First Semester classes start on Monday, 3 February 2025. Your lecturers will contact you when classes start in February on your HCHE email address. They will not contact you on your personal email address.
