New Student Turnitin Guide

All new students must have a Class ID and an Enrolment Key provided by their lecturer. Without this, can you cannot access the system.

NOTE: The enrolment key provided by your lecturer is case sensitive. So, if an uppercase letter is provided, then use an uppercase letter.

If REB113 is the enrolment key, then you must put the key in as it shows, not reb113, but using the uppercase letters as well.

 

Signing into Turnitin

New students can access Turnitin on the web: https://www.turnitin.com/login_page.asp

Students can either sign in with their HCHE email address or create a separate account. The easiest method is to use the “Sign in with Google” button and it will request your HCHE email and password. Not your personal gmail.com address, but use your @hche.ac.za email address. Once you are in the system Turnitin will request your Class ID and Enrolment Key.

Most assignments are uploaded as a MS Word document (.docx), or a PDF file (.PDF).
